In 1910, a talented and successful gentleman musician named Inayat Khan left his home in Baroda (now Varodara) India to undertake the formidable journey to the US and later to Europe.

He had been sent to the West by his Sufi teacher, and there he was destined to introduce the Sufi Message of Love, Harmony and Beauty. His lineage now comprises at least six beautiful streams of guidance, active all over the world.

The Federation of the Sufi Message was formed in 1997 as a non-hierarchical umbrella organization of Sufi groups united in their devotion to the spiritual lineage of Hazrat Inayat Khan and the Sufi Message.

This web site is being created as a vehicle for recorded talks and personal experiences from the Federation gathering in April 2010 in Northern California.
